Vanessa and I are passionate about sharing the benefits of Pilates, and honestly, we need more teachers at the Yoga Barn so we can offer classes every day!
This training is for anyone who wants to help others become more mindful of their bodies—and stay strong and flexible for life.
We’re committed to supporting our future teachers in leading multi-level classes. During the training, you’ll learn how to modify exercises safely and effectively for different populations, including:
Seniors
People recovering from injuries
Postpartum clients (with medical clearance)
In this training, you will:
• Learn the basic principles, foundational postures, and essential techniques of Pilates.
• Develop mind–body awareness that supports mobility, ergonomics, and a deeper understanding of the anatomical system.
• Explore the principles of breath, coordination, and mind–body connection that bring intention and clarity to movement.
• Understand Pilates mechanics, with a focus on core-driven movement. This method uses the mind–body connection to execute each exercise with quality over quantity, emphasizing precision and integrity.
The 6 Classical Principles of Pilates are:
1. Concentration
2. Control
3. Centering
4. Precision
5. Breath
6. Flow
Our Additional Core Principles:
7. Mindfulness – moving with presence, awareness, and intention.
8. Modifications – adapting each posture to meet the needs of every body safely, and accessible to anyone who wants to practice.
9. Rhythm & Flow – finding harmony, continuity, and natural movement patterns within each sequence.

Hey, I’m Espe and I will be teaching our Pilates training at @yogabarn in January 2026. This is our 3rd Pilates Training, and we are thrilled to say all our programs have been sold out!
I’ve been teaching yoga for 14 years, continuously learning through multiple Yoga Teacher Trainings, Ayurveda School, and I have guided international yoga retreats for the last 10 years. With 2 Pilates certifications in my back and the lack of modifications for students, I decided to create a Pilates Program that will include all age populations.
I’m passionate about mindful movement—whether it’s chair yoga, a private class, yin, hot vinyasa flow, or a fiery hot Pilates class.
My intention behind offering this in-person Pilates Teacher Training is to give future educators a strong foundation to teach in a way that is accessible, intelligent, and safe for every person who walks through the studio doors.
Over the past 13 years, as a studio owner, I’ve witnessed the profound difference that in-person training makes.
Online courses can be incredibly valuable, but there’s a depth of understanding, embodiment, and confidence that develops only through face-to-face learning, hands-on guidance, and shared experience in community.

Here’s what you need to know:
Early bird pricing is available until Dec 31st $1350+HST
Registration closes January 15th or when we reach 10 participants—whichever comes first. We’re keeping it small to ensure a high-quality, personalized experience.
Training Schedule:
Dates: Jan 30-Feb 1st. In case of inclement weather, the alternate dates will be 6, 7, and 8 of February 2026.
Time: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM daily
Lunch Break: 12:00 – 12:30 PM
Each day starts with a Hot Pilates Session, followed by lectures in:
Anatomy
Classical Pilates movements (the originals by Joseph Pilates)
Modifications for different bodies
Breathing techniques, posture, alignment, and use of props
Business of Pilates ( how and where to start)
Practice Teaching & Feedback
Additional Requirements:
Online Basic Anatomy Course by Eva Hamilton (available for a limited time)
Pre-training reading (details will be provided after registration)
Training Hours: 40 hours in-person + 5 hours basic anatomy + 5 hours practice teaching
